We want you to have a great time so this year we’re trying to make the event as accessible as possible to everyone.

This year, we’ll be:

Having a wonderful sensory play area
Creating a Quiet Zone for those who feel they simply need to ‘get away from it all’
Having BSL signers in the Global Justice and Social Issues debating and music area
Offering parking to a limited number of Blue Badge users
Making our publicity material as clear as possible
Designing the web site so it includes screen reader and loud reader programmes

We are also trying to arrange wheelchair loan service thanks to the generous support of the British Red Cross. The chairs will be available for a returnable deposit of £30. The British Red Cross will be offering a booking service prior to and during the Festival so that you can book a wheelchair and pay the deposit before the Festival.

To book a chair, you will need to ring 0191 273 7961 and ask to be put through to the Wheelchair Department. Explain that you are enquiring about the wheelchair loan service for Newcastle Green Festival.
