Green Stage

With limited funds this year we've had to combine the musical elements of the festival into one stage. This may be a shock to some but it does mean we can all enjoy the music and other performers in one place as a diverse community.

Drummed Up,

Community Druming Group Drummed up have traditionally always been a element of the green festival and will be providing the drumroll to start our proceedings.


Holly Molly & the Crackers

Playing a lively, moonshine mix of Romani, Americana and contemporary British ‘folk’n’roll’ Holly Molly make thier green festival debut.


Rowan McCabe

Sharing with us some of his thoughts through the power of spokenword, Rowan will be joining us throughout the day providing some insightful and funny interludes.


WEA Conference Debate

A break in the music to discuss the issues. Informative debate brought to us by the Workers Education Association, on green issues with guest speakers.


Diddley Squat

From the hills of Northumberland the finest Ska, Folk, Rock-Reggae band join us online australian casinos to kick off our afternoon. BRO mix up a little of almost everything into a festival dance band storm. With styles covering Reggae, Ska, Balkan, Hip-Hop, Cumbia, Rave, Funk and Drum and bass. This is fused with conscious and political protest and a sense of humour.

Georgia Turnbull

Playing soulful and heart warming songs Georgia will ease us into sunday afternoon.


Tangled Roots

This duo create soothing harmonies with a electic mix of folky songs. Having impressed the audience at our fundraiser event we had to invite them to play.


The Cash Cows

Originally a busking act that has gone from entertaining shoppers on Northumberland St to prime time TV (featured winning on "come dine with me") and entertaining the masses at Glastonbury. Come sing and dance along with these mustached snappy dressers and thier alternative versions of the guilty pleasures we all know but won't usually admit to liking.


Hannabiell & Midnight Blue

Performer of the year in the Northeast Culture awards Hannabiell and her band Midnight Blue combine African drumming, funk and Jazz into a mesmerising and unique performance.


The Juggernaut Love Band

Spreading the Love through the mediums of Funk, Soul and Disco. Guaranteed Party Vibes.


The Baghdaddies

The Baghdaddies have been Newcastles greatest festival band export for 14 years playing worldwide and after a fair few years away from the Green Festival they make there return in style closing our 18th Festival.
